INTRODUCTION
Terrorism has characterized modern civilization from its inception. However, its increased importance and visibility has been characterized as a means of conflict as terrorists have taken advantage of advancements in communication, transportation and technology to intimidate a global community with threats of violence unless political demands are conceded to.
Terrorism is defined as the premeditated use, or threat of use, of extra-normal violence or brutality to obtain a political objective through intimidation or fear directed at a large audience.
This game was created and conceptualized by Sarah Jameel for Final Project for POLI 360: Security: War & Peace at McGill University (Winter 2014).

They say the book is always better than the movie, that's the idea.
AIM
Terror in Seyland is an Interactive Fiction Game designed to educate students/players on the theories behind terrorism and counter-terrorism efforts. This simulation hopes to recreate the numerous issues, challenges and bargains that confront both State and Non State Actors when addressing Terrorism.
The game was designed to educate students, and potentially defence organizations on the options and outcomes available when in a terrorism or counter-terrorism scenario. Players essentially write their way through history in the continent of Bengalia, as their every move determines the fate of the thousands that they represent, whether they are terrorists or the government.
The game hopes you answer these questions as you play the game.
Will you be a terrorist or the government? Will you track down the terrorists or will you be tracked down? What terrorist tactics will you use? What counter terrorism strategies will you deploy? How will your neighbouring countries react? Will a peace process work? Who will mediate it? How will you deal with the International Community? And, will you save Seyland from terrorism in time, or will you lead a terrorist organization to victory?
